Meet Tata
My obsession with the beauty industry started young, when I would sneak into my mom’s bathroom and look through her skincare and makeup like they were rare jewels. In middle school, I started seeing my first esthetician for eyebrow waxing. As I grew, I spent all my babysitting money on beauty products and read Seventeen magazine cover to cover every month. By the time I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to be an esthetician.
I’ve been living my dream since 1999, when I graduated from college (Miami of Ohio) and immediately enrolled in the esthetics program at the Aveda Institute Minneapolis. Upon graduation, I started perfecting my skills as esthetician working first at an Aveda Concept Salon and then for a top facial plastic surgeon. In 2009, I decided to strike it out on my own and opened Skin By Tata.
Over the years, advanced education has been my guiding force. I’ve traveled across the country learning everything from advanced skin peeling to oncology esthetics. Along the way, I received my CIDESCO certification, the highest international level of certification available to estheticians and became an Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) health coach.
My clients look to me for my expertise and knowledge in both skincare and holistic practices. I believe home care is the most important, but I also believe the skin needs and benefits from professional treatments that boost the skin and allow your home care to work even better.
Skin By Tata is the culmination of years of experience and education. My focus is simple - results driven skin treatments and products. In creating my signature services, I’ve combined holistic skincare products with proven techniques and technologies including dermaplaning, electrocautery, facial reflexology, Gua Sha, LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage massage, microcurrent, microdermabrasion, microneedling, and oxygen infusions to deliver immediate results.
I work in a salon, and many clients compliment me on my skin all day long. They think I must do Botox, but I don’t. I wouldn’t trust my skin to anyone other than Tata. My clients want to get “in” with Tata, and I tell them she has a LONG wait list. – Diane L.
